Having a FML kinda day
This morning my mom went to the ER for Shingles - she is miserable and in lots of pain and nauseous and has horrid headaches which could be them forming in her brain I guess, although not likely.
She was told NO contact with me for 3 - 5 WEEKS.
If I don't have this baby girl naturally by Friday (17th) (which I am really selfishly hoping I do NOT because my best friend is getting married Saturday and my SO is IN the wedding and lots of friends whom I haven't seen in a long time will be there.... so naturally on Saturday night is fine by me :P ) then they will induce me by next Friday (24th) at the latest due to G.D. which puts me at 39 weeks 1 day. I am not happy to be induced as I had a horrid induction with my first LO but I know its what is best for this one too so I don't have much of a say so.
Anyways back to my mom; she was pretty non-existant with my first because or relationship was very strained due to my pretty crazy exhusband and things have gotten so much better between us and I was so looking forward to her being at the hospital and her being able to spend time with us and whatnot but now they are saying NO WAY because of the shingles (SIDENOTE: I agree and understand but am uber bummed) so no seeing me, coming to the hospital or even seeing Adalyn as a newborn until she is all cleared up and healed and that could be 5 weeks from now 
WAAAAAAA!

I'm really sorry to hear this news as I'm sure it is upsetting! I can't imagine finding this out right before having your baby. Hopefully she heals quickly. I have seen varicella in newborns, not a pretty picture.
