Advice?

One of my twins can't go to sleep with out screaming her head off.  She gets to sleep eventually-- but it kills me.  Sometimes it 5 minutes, sometimes 25.  It's been like this for awhile.  She's 9 months... anyone have advice?

    My daughter is the same way and she is 16 months now.  She has been like that since we brought her home from the hospital.  At the beginning we tried to sooth her but every time we put her down she start her screaming again.  When she got older the minute we put her down for bed time she scream and cry but when we come near her crib she started laughing.  Eventually my husband and I just turn off all the light and leave her in her crib until she get the point.  I have found that getting a routine helps a little.  If she sleeps less during the day she'll be tired at 9 and won't cry as much.  Now she only does it 2-3 nights per week vs 7 nights.
