::Jilly::

We talked about opening activities for school, and just catching up on this blog and saw they had a post or two about it.

Not sure if you know of this site, but I LOVE it!  Especially for Common Core stuff - their annotated list of standards is amazing!

  • I'm being nosy, but I'm glad I am! That site is awesome, and I love the first post on 25 different bellringer activities. I've definitely bookmarked this for future use. THANKS!

  • I'm totally butting in here too, but this site looks great. Thanks for letting me steal it!

  • Oh, so glad it is helpful to you :)

    It's an amazing site and by far one of my favorites.

    Another one I use a lot is the NY Times Education/Learning Network:

    https://learning.blogs.nytimes.com/

    They have lots of good current event articles tied in with certain subject areas.  Perfect for the new Common Core Standards!  If you do teach English, you can even type in the current novel/work you are teaching, and articles will come up that are associated with it.  Or, you can put in an author's name.

    LOVE!! This is going to be PERFECT for my English classes this year. We are going to 1:1 computing (every student will be given their own personal laptop to use for the year), and this is exactly what I've been looking for. THANK YOU!

  • Hey! Thanks so much for the blog. There are so many resources for elementary teachers, but almost none for high school teachers!  I have bookmarked the site :)
