I'm going to start my registry today. I was wondering if a video monitor is worth it for twins? I originally assumed it wouldn't be because once they start sleeping in two cribs wouldn't you only be able to see one baby? But I noticed it recommended a few times in the "can you critique my registry?" post.
Re: video monitor?
I highly, highly recommend one! There are some that you can hook more than one camera up to and also some that can pan and zoom. We have the Summer Infant Slim and Secure, but aren't that big of fans of ours because we've had some problems with it malfunctioning.
I would recommend that you get one, though, because sometimes our babies are very noisy and we can mistake them making noises in their sleep for them needing something. Its nice to be able to check on the monitor without having to go into their room and risk possibly waking them up (especially in the middle of the night)!
for us, a video monitor is essential.
we used a 2nd hand sound monitor for awhile, but as they got older and more active, the video component became more than necessary.
highly recommend this one with 2 cameras...https://www.toysrus.com/product/index.jsp?productId=12610135
We didn't have a video monitor with my son and I really wish we did. I'm definitely getting one for the twins!
My dream monitor is this Motorola one from BRU, but it's pricey: https://www.toysrus.com/product/index.jsp?productId=12610135
I'll probably go for a Summer Infant one with an extra camera. I really like the idea of finding one that you can view from your iPhone though.
