Late Term and Child Loss

Flowers for his urn

My dad brought flowers over today for Nathaniel's urn. (His urn is a vase). Seems like no big deal but it really is- he has never done that before. In fact, no one has in the 9+ months since we lost him. It really meant a lot to me!

For a long time I felt like I was the only one putting flowers in the urn. I had to have flowers there- had to. And when they started to wilt I'd feel so sad. But it has given me somethin to do for him, to bring him flowers is all I can do. It was a struggle to keep flowers in it during the winter months, I was buying them every few days and felt like no one else was noticing. It felt really good for someone else to acknowledge him.
