I'm bored so I thought I'd do a fun post. I love looking at names. I like going to the bnb, looking on websites, watching the credits at the end of movies, even looking in my cousins dance recital programs. So here are some name related questions for you ladies. I'll keep it to "likes" so we don't offend anyone since I know we all have different taste in names and all the Dec Mamas love each other, lol.

What are your guilty pleasure names? Not really sure off the top of my head.
What is a name you love but couldn't/wouldn't use and why? Kaitlyn Elizabeth (SIL named her daughter Kaylee Elizabeth) and Sadie (sister named her daughter Samantha "Sammie") and Landon (other SIL loved the name)
What are your great grandparents names? Terribly I don't know. My grandparents are Martha, Sondra, George and Stanley

What are your guilty pleasure names? Giselle (not for the model but the ballet), Piper, Americus.
What is a name you love but couldn't/wouldn't use and why? Nathaniel. My nephew is named Nathan so too similar. Grace- my dog's name. Although it didn't stop my sister from naming her son Marcus when we had a cat named that when we were teens.
What are your great grandparents names? John and Nora, Charlie and Suse (she was Native American). I don't know from my Dad's side since his mom is really a POS.

What are your guilty pleasure names? I love the name Ophelia for a girl. H said no way, no how
What is a name you love but couldn't/wouldn't use and why? Tai (boy name) it's the middle name of an ex of mine form a long while ago. H doesn't care, but it would still be a life long connection in my head, so it was a no-no for me.
What are your great grandparents names? Dorothea, Howard, Madeline (I can't remember the others' first names - that's sad...) grandparents are/were Marlene, John, Elaine, Lewis, Ruth, Richard (some were obviously divorced and re-married)
If you had to pick a nature name, what would it be? Forest for a boy - Ivy for a girl
Color name? Ruby for a girl, not sure for a boy...
Out of the Dec. Mamas, whose screen name do you like the best? Jarebearsmom - I had a friend who's name had 'bear' added onto it since carebear days when we were kids. I miss her a lot and Jarebear's SN always makes me think of her more
If you had no input from DH/SO and had to name a boy and a girl today what would you name them?
-Well if I had my way, this baby would be named Ian. But my DH doesn't want that. Boourns on him. As for a girl, it would be Logan. I love Logan for a girl.
What are your guilty pleasure names?
-Boy names on girls. Like Logan, Riley, Jordan or Dylan. Dunno why, but I think they're adorable.
What is a name you love but couldn't/wouldn't use and why?
-Liam, because one of my close friends named her son that (she was one of my BM's), and she is very touchy about that kind of stuff. Don't want to lose her over a baby's name.
What are your great grandparents names?
-No idea. They were dead long before I was born, and I never asked. All I know is my mom's side there was a Nana Hastings and a Nana O'Donnell (but those were obviously their last names).
If you had to pick a nature name, what would it be?
-Probably Autumn. Or Summer. Not quite sure. Dunno for a boy.

-For a girl Rose (because then I could call her Rosie), for a boy... Um... Again no idea. LOL

What are your guilty pleasure names? I love Augustus but makes me think of Augustus Gloop. Clare for a boy. Also Biblical ones... Moses, Ismael, Judas. Pretty unfortunate Biblical characters as well.
What is a name you love but couldn't/wouldn't use and why? I love William but my father's stupid dog is named Willy. WE might use it anyway.
What are your great grandparents names? Julia, John, Nellie and August.
If you had to pick a nature name, what would it be? Forrest for a boy or Dahlia for a girl.
Color name? Hmmm... Saphire? Pearl? I'm not sure if that's a color.

Boy Josiah Girl I'd give her my first name but DH isn't crazy about that idea because it's my mother's name, too. We decided when we first got married that whenever we had kids, their first name would be what we called them. My mom and I have the same first name but it just doesn't work as a middle name no matter what first name I try to pair it with
What are your guilty pleasure names?I love unique names. Especially Hawaiin names but DH says no because we don't have any Hawaiin relatives for it to make sense
What is a name you love but couldn't/wouldn't use and why? I LOVE the name Elena but I wouldn't use it because of Vampire Diaries. I also really like the name Addison but it's someone on Grey's, a girl at DC, and "BFF" said she's naming her kid that if it's a girl.

If you had no input from DH/SO and had to name a boy and a girl today what would you name them? Ella for a girl (luckily DH likes the name too, but he prefers to name a daughter Gabriella, then call her Ella). Grayson for a boy (DH is not a fan).
What are your guilty pleasure names? I don't really have any, I guess.
What is a name you love but couldn't/wouldn't use and why? Ava, Isabella, and Brayden - I've loved Ava and Isabella since HS, but they have become too popular for my liking. And the whole Aiden/Jayden/Caiden thing is getting out of hand =P I know at least 9 kids with -den names!
