switched to convertible

Has anyone already made the switch to a convertible car seat? We are buying one this weekend. I think she's starting to hate the car seat she's always fussy in the car so I'm hoping a new seat can help.

Re: switched to convertible

  • I just bought one on Amazon because my little guy is 20  lbs already and way too tall for his Infant seat.  I got an an Evenflo "all-in-one".... .check out the reviews on Amazon, it seems to be pretty good and I like that there are video manuals for installation on Evenflos website.  Hope this helps!

  • We moved up last weekend. Dd was nowhere near our weight limit but she always looked really uncomfy and would scream when I put her in. She is doing great in our convertible. I just need to figure out how to get out of the house with her and other stuff at the same time. It was easier with the bucket.

What we'll do is just leave her infant seat in the car so if we go out to eat we can put her in that. On weekends when we go out my husband is always with me so he like sto carry her or we can put her in the infant seat/stroller say if we want to go to the mall or something like that. I ordered a grocery cart cover so when I take her to the store alone during the week she can sit in there.

  • I'm thinking we're going to want to soon (he's almost 4 months). He can't sit independently yet so we'll have to use the ergo a lot.

I'm putting it off but have started shopping around and am waiting for sales. I know the seat I want but since I'm not in a rush I'm waiting for the deal... I'm waiting on the Britax Boulevard if anyone knows of any sales. I think amazon is the cheapest usually

  • I just bought the Britax Marathon on Albee Baby- it was on sale for $199 with free shipping. My son is 18 lbs & almost 26 inches and doesn't seem very comfortable in the infant seat. He's also very visual and I think he doesn't like not being able to see out the windows. I'm hoping he'll like the new seat better. It's getting to the point where he's too heavy to be carried in the infant seat anyway.

  • we haven't changed yet, but i'm going to consider doing it soon, but I need to buy a new carseat for DD1 so DD2 can go into it.

We have an Evenflo Triumph 65 and I'm considering a Diono Radian RXT for  DD1
