My success with Jillian Michaels and LoseIt

Hi mommies. I wanted to pop in and share the weight loss success I've had this summer with the Jillian Michael's DVDs and the LoseIt app on my iphone. I had my daughter in January of this year and when she was 5 months old, I decided it was time to lose some weight and get back in shape! I started tracking all my food intake on my phone and stuck to 1200-1300 calories per day and then did a month of the 30 Day Shred and a month of Ripped in 30. When it was all said and done, I lost 32 lbs over 4 months. WOO! If a full time working mother of two kids (who was breastfeeding) can do it, so can you!

The best advice I can give is start working out/eating right and STICK WITH IT after a few weeks. So many of my friends started the DVDs but then gave up halfway through and got mad when they didn't see any results. I promise if you stay committed, your hard work will pay off in the end!

  • Amazing job!! I know how hard it is to lose weight, and you have done great! I've been running and lifting weights since the beginning of the year, and I haven't seen results like that. My eating has always been my downfall. I know exactly what I need to do and how I need to eat, but I love food (especially sweets) so much. I am 100% sure that is why I haven't seen results. I've started over again with trying to eat better, along with increasing my weights and running distance, so hopefully I can see results like you soon!

    She said in the OP that she did 30 days of the 30ds and 30 days of the ripped in 30.

    OP- Good Job!  I lost about 25 lbs in 4-5 months and have kept it off running.  I am planning to do Jillian's 6 week 6 pack, 30ds and run during the winter months.

  • 30day shred is great, I did not like get ripped though, it seemed to much like 30day shred to me but longer and I will admit, i did get bored.  But the shred does work, and you are right, dont give up on it either, just push yourself!
