Baby Maleigh is Finally Home

After having an NST scan and ultra sound on Tuesday which determined that my fluid levels were low...the doctor's decided to induce me. 15 hours of labor later, baby's heart rate was dropping and they said she wasn't descending into the pelvis even though I was 10 cm dialated. They didn't even let me try to push because my pelvis measured smaller than average and I was losing a lot of blood. At 2:26 a.m. on Wednesday, August 8th, Maleigh Elizabeth was born via c-section weighing 8 pounds 8 ounces and measuring 21 inches long.

Bonus note: Jenny Thompson, the olympic gold medal swimmer, was my anestisiologist....
