1st Trimester

Pregnant again after a miscarriage....

With my first pregnancy, my boobs were so sore and hurt so bad even before I found out I was pregnant. Sadly, I ended up miscarrying. Well, I just found out I am pregnant again, and I have no breast pain whatsoever. I am pretty much symptomless. I found out I was pregnant both times around the 4 week mark. Is it normal for all pregnancies to be so different? You would think that if your boobs hurt like hell the first time around it would happen again. I am obviously worried about miscarrying again. Any thoughts or experiences? Thanks!

Re: Pregnant again after a miscarriage....

  • This is my first pregnancy so I can't speak for myself, but my sister says her 2 pregnancies were completely different.  The first she was great with barely any symptoms and she had plenty of symptoms with the second.  My guess would be that each pregnancy is different and I would try hard not to worry (though I am worried with my own!).

  • I am pregnant again after a miscarriage as well and this time, my symptoms didn't actually hit until the 9 week mark!  I was freaking out in those early weeks because i virtually had no symptoms.  I was able to get a 7 week appointment where i could hear the heartbeat and that gave me some reassurance. Maybe your doctor can get you in sooner?  Also, in case you haven't discovered it already, the PGAL board is a nice place to hang out. Congrats on your pregnancy!
  • Yes, every pregnancy is different. I have no symptoms this time but last time I was nauseous before my BFP. I know it's hard not to worry, but there's no reason to think you will miscarry this time. It's ok mama. Today you are pregnant and you love your baby.
  • Every pregnancy is different. Wishing you the best of luck!

Congratulations on your second pregnancy, and I really hope everything goes well for you. I have read and heard that it can be totally different for the same person with different pregnancies, but I can't speak from my own experience.

This pregnancy is also my second, following a miscarriage. I can only tell you from my own personal experience... my first pregnancy, I was nausteated, SUPER tender breasts and this time, almost zero nausea and my boobs were only a little tender for a few weeks. Aside from headaches and being tired I've been pretty symptom free this time. And so far so good! So, yes, I do believe each one is very different, who knows why though. Best of luck and congratulations!!!

  • Every time is different.  This time I really dont feel much tenderness with my chest.  Last time just washing up in the shower I had to be very careful they where so sore.
