hey everyone I am slowly buying my nursery needs for my Identical twins coming in October!

I am confused by the many options for monitors out there I was looking at just a normal monitor - but than I saw that alot of moms are buying the Angelcare movement monitors.

what monitors are best -?

We went with Angelcare and love them. Your other viable option for a monitor with movement sensor is the Snuza but I've heard that when baby gets old enough to pull it off the diaper (it just clips onto the diaper) it can become a pain in the butt. Anyway, so far so good here with Angelcare.

did you get two angelcare with sound and movement? and are your multiples... (twins?) in the same room? how do you find having two audio sorces? do they interfer with each other? and does the alarm often wake up both babies or do you have few false alarms? im looking at buying these,

sometimes simple is better... im already feeling like im overdoing it with the movement mat but i know ill need the peaceful rest.

Hi there! I'm in the same boat as you, only I'm expecting trips. I actually emailed the Anglecare people about having three cameras/monitors and asked lots of questions about interference (all three cribs will be in one room) they got back to me very quickly, but basically said that Angle Care was not for me due to interference. If nothing else, I appreciate their honesty! I read there is a motorola product that may work for me (I want sound and video--not too concerned with movement pads), but I need to research if further. Good luck!

We got one that did sound and motion and one that just did motion. They do sleep in the same room and this way the sound of 2 monitors didn't interfere with each other or cause feedback. Here are the links to what we got.

ETA: We haven't had any false alarms. Our cribs have the super thick mattresses, so it took a little playing around with it to get the sensitivity right, but it was easy to do. So far so good.

For me personally, all those breathing and movement monitors felt like overkill. But I also have a very small house. We wanted audio-only, and started with a Sony BabyCall. It was constant static, the voice activation didn't work great, and the sound was never clear. Then my mom got us a Phillips Avent Basic, and it's FAB. Crystal clear sound, no interference, and I like that it lights up, because that often wakes me up before the sound does.

Make sure you check out Snuza movement monitors! Espeically if your twins will be sleeping in the same crib. I have the Snuza Hero and I really, really love it. I wouldn't sleep at night without it. I like that it is so small, it monitors their breathing by directly touching their tummy and it's so simple to just clip onto their diaper.
