1st Preg, when will you tell everyone?

Curious when everyone is thinking of telling everyone. Right now only our immediate family (parents, siblings) know. Is everyone waiting until the 2nd tri?

Some of our friends know and we're planning on telling our parents after our u/s this week from there we'll probably just let ppl know when we see/talk to them. We don't really have time frames picked out.

I have just told my bff and one other close friend. We are going to tell immediate family between 10 and 12 weeks. Everyone else will be between 12 and 14 weeks.

We've already told people we see regularly - immediate family, close friends, trusted coworkers.

Over the next couple of weeks we'll be telling extended family, closer friends who live far away.

My birthday is right at the end of this month, a couple days after my NT scan and the beginning of the 2nd tri. I'll probably make the announcement FB public on that day.

We haven't told a soul yet. Surprise We anticipate my parents (Mom especially) won't take it well. I had some early bleeding and have a f/u US Thursday at 8w1d to check for growth and HB. If that appt goes really well we might revisit the topic.

We weren't supposed to have an US at all until 11w2d which is right before DH's bday. Thought it might make for a cute story to tell people that I 'got him a baby' for his bday? I'd love to wait 'til 2nd tri to tell the rest of the family, and then 'come out' on facebook after all our families know.

We told parents and 4 friends each and my brother after our first u/s around 6 .5 weeks. We have u/s 2 on 8/20 and the NT scan on 8/29. Not sure if we are going to tell more people between the 20th and the 29th. I don't think we will announce on Facebook.

I don't live near my family and we are seeing them at 16 weeks and I am hoping to make it until then to tell them. I am not sure if I will start showing too much by then though as I am only at 10 weeks now. We told a very small group of friends at 9 weeks after our 1st u/s as they see us all the time and were noticing the differences of my habits already.

We told parents at the beginning of 5 weeks. BIL/SILs at the beginning of 7 weeks. We will announce to everyone at the beginning of 11 weeks (Labor Day weekend party)

We've told everyone closest to us. Parents and close family first. Close friends the week after. Some colleagues after that. My grandmother and step-kids still don't know. Not quite ready to spill the beans to them yet. We will probably make it public on FB after our next u/s on Sept. 10th.

Our parents were with us every step of the way for this IVF so they know. One close friend and a few who live out of state know. My cousin and his wife know. We plan on starting to tell when im 12w. Trying to hold out for some family parties but it is getting hard! We would rather tell people in person if possible.

Our parents know, mostly because they were aware of our ttc struggles and past m/cs. We will tell everyone else close to us (siblings, close friends) after our NT scan on the 24th. I don't plan on telling anyone at work until I have to, or once the rumor mill gets out of hand. Stick out tongue

I've tol my best friend and that's it. No one else knows - not my parents DH parents, siblings - nada.

I thought I was having a miscarriage a week ago due to some pretty heavy bleeding. I went in for an u/s and everything looked normal. I had some further bleeding episodes this week - so we go for another u/s on Tuesday - then we leave to go out of country for a week. Maybe I'll tell people when we come back

I have only told moms and the baby's father... Dont nobody else... Im planning to wait til my 20 birthday party at the end of the month... Im pretty sure they will notice if I got fruit punch in my cup as my drink lol.... But im nervous to say something to early cuz I miscarried my 1st at 8wks atthe beginning of this year after I told everyone including fb!!!

Our immediate family knows and a couple of close friends. We have not really decided when to tell other friends or work yet.

We've told parents and siblings so far. DH told his coworkers but they don't know anyone we know so it wasn't a big deal. One of my good friends and also another coworker found out due to a work issue last week. I went ahead and told my boss this week because I had a meeting with her and she knew about our IVF due to my time off for that. Otherwise we don't plan to tell until at least 12 weeks, which is when our next appointment is.

I will be 18 weeks exactly on our 3 year anniversary, I think it would be fun to announce then, but I don't know if I can wait that long! I will definitely wait until then to put anything on facebook.

We told our parents / siblings at 6 weeks. I told one of my close friends and one of DH's close friends at 8 weeks. I have a family picnic on Labor Day where I think I will tell my aunts/ uncles/ cousins. Then it's fair game from that point on. I'll be about 11w2 days then. It's still a bit early but since the family will be together, it seems to make sense.
