1st Trimester

Morning sickness & other questions

So I am six weeks today with our 7 week appt. scheduled for next Tuesday. I don't want to call the doc for every question and I really don't have anyone else to ask since my DH and I have decided to tell the family at Christmas so no one knows we are preggo.

I am worried because I haven't had any morning sickness at all is this normal? I just get reallly sleeply throughout the day.

Also, I have cramping in my stomach and my lower vaginal area has been sore has this happend to anyone?

I have also felt really anxious about m/c just because I have had issues in the past, what can I do to help ease the anxiety until my appt. next week?

Ohh and last question, how can I get my tracker to post as well... for some reason I can't get it to stick

Re: Morning sickness & other questions

  • No m/s is normal.

    Cramps are normal.

    Being worried is normal.

  • Whoa, lots of questions...  First of all, everything you're experiencing is normal.  You can google pregnancy symptoms and they're all there.

Um, to ease the anxiety I guess take some deep breaths or something.  There's not much you can do.  Call the doctor's office if you have any bad cramps and spotting.

Create the ticker and get the code, go to My Bump, Edit Profile, and copy the code into your signature.

  • Not everyone gets m/s, so if you're having some other symptoms I wouldn't worry about that!  I have light cramping and soreness, along with exhaustion during the day as well...so those are all fine symptoms!  I'm not sure about the ticker....I have noticed that things sometimes don't stick....
  • Yes, its normal not to have m/s and considered a blessing, so enjoy it not worry about it. Yes, its normal to have cramping, cramping with bleediing no. And to ease your anxiety, just think happy thoughts, don't stress over everything you do or don't feel, stress is not your friend during PG!

    Ditto! Enjoy being pg!

  • To post ticker, go to my bump, edit profile, paste code in sig box at bottom and save changes.

I have had no symptoms except a big appetite and occassional breast pain. If it weren't for no period and 3 bfp, I wouldn't even think I was pg.

  • I'm 6 weeks too... my 1st appt is next tuesday as well!  I haven't had any m/s yet either.  The only symptoms I've had is fatigue & some cramping here & there.

  • Consider yourself extremely blessed you haven't had to experience m/s! It can suck the life out of you! Being tired is totally normal and so is cramping. Just remember, your body is changing soo much to accommodate your little one. Your uterus is stretching and changing and you may feel a lot of that. But its ok! If you start to bleed heavily, call your dr. Everything else is sounding very very normal! And CONGRATS
