Dude I never thought balloons would be so damn expensive lol. I have called Party City, 99cent store, Dollar Tree and other Party Stores. Every store is 75cents per balloon! 99cents Store 49cents.

Did you go to a party store to fill balloons or did you just buy a Helium tank?

    I blew all if our balloons up with my lungs of steel. But, I do know there was a pinterest trick about using baking soda and vinigar to make the balloons float like helium. Are you on pinterest?

    There is a helium shortage that is why they are so expensive.  We got a bunch of them anyway for table centerpieces.  Buying a tank will be expensive too because of the shortage.

    I rented a tank for a charity event I planned a year ago. It was $55 and that was the cheapest I found  after calling 3 places!

    Those fill about 20 balloons, FYI.  They also usually come with balloons.  I've always had to use pliers to get the valve to turn the first time too.

    Thanks JK for the link :-) and thanks to all you ladies for the advice and knowledge. I got one at WalMart like you Wash :) says it will fill 30 balloons so we shall see.

    FYI, balloons filled with baking soda and vinegar will not float. They will sink. Not sure if pinterest has some magic floating trick, but in general those balloons sink.

    From what I have seen they tend to blow up lol
