After having a migraine for at least a month (it's all blurred together), DH talked me into going to a chiropractor yesterday. Oh.My.GOD do I feel fantastic today! I've always had jacked up hips. While poking and prodding me, the chiro said he wanted to see my legs. He had me hold them out in front of me, and holy hell my left leg was shorter than my right. He twisted me up, body slammed me and checked again, and they were the same length. Apparently my left hip was up and out of it's effing socket! Then he tried to rip my head off from several angles. After much cracking, my eyes no longer felt like they were melting in their sockets. I slept like a baby last night. I usually toss and turn because my hips and neck hurt so bad. I didn't move for 7 hours straight! I love this guy and will gladly give him a kidney or lung or something should he ever need it. The relief I feel is priceless.
So... have you ever been to a chiropractor? How was it? If you've never been, is there a reason other than never needing an adjustment?

I was in a car accident in HS with two of my friends. One of them went to a chiropractor after and I went with her to one of the appointments. Scarred me for life, it looked like we was going to break her. She swore it was amazing and didn't hurt but seeing it from the other side of the table was bad.
That was also almost 20 yrs ago so procedures may have changed.
i routenely go to a chiro. if i dont my hips hurt and back hurt so much. i injured my SI joint and it really really helps.
it also doesnt hurt that i try and get a massage ever so often too
I've never been, but you've about sold me on it now. My hips hurt all the time! Maybe when I'm not pregnant... I wonder if my insurance would cover it though...
Your post has me cracking up. I'm glad you feel better!!
I've never been to them b/c I've always been skeptical. My OB said he'd refer me to one b/c of my bad sciatica, but I declined.
I never liked them. I went twice and they were annoying. My friend is a PT and never has anything good to say about chiropractors either.
Did anyone see this article about this chiropractor ad?

I had never been before but I was really uncomfortable at about 30weeks last pregnancy and I knew I couldn't make it another 10 weeks like that. My doula recommended a woman who specialized in prenatal & children and she was amazing. I went 3 times and felt great. She did low impact stuff so no bending, cracking, or twisting.
I considered taking Kayla a month or so ago because I could tell something was wrong (turns out she's milk/soy protein intolerant).
