One month

On Monday the twins will be a month old.  I can't believe it!  I have been through so much more in this month than I thought possible.

Not only was their birthday (7/13) unexpected, the events following were also. 

We went through 10 days of NICU time with our son and had to go back and forth to the hospital each day.  The hospital is 45 minutes away from home.  Having one at home and one in the NICU is pretty tough.  While this was going on my issue with my gall stones was apparently getting worse and I didn't know it.
Had Anthony home for a week before the in laws came to visit on 8/1.  My mother in law just left today. On 8/3 I was admitted to the hospital for gall bladder surgery that didn't take place until 8/6.  Luckily my in laws were around to watch the twins when we needed it.  I was lucky enough to be able to have the twins visit me both Saturday and Sunday.  I came home from the hospital on 8/7.  My mother in law stayed the extra time to help me out since I'm now recovering from both the c-section and gall bladder surgery.  Good times.  I now have 9 days until my parents come.  Yay.

The other thing I'm thinking about is that even at a month old, both of my babies are still in preemie sizes.  Anthony is probably a little over 6 lbs now and Ashleigh is still under 6 lbs.  The newborn sizes are funny on them because they are so big.  I can't even have them in newborn diapers yet.  My tiny dynamic duo.  I'm reading everyone's birth announcements and seeing just how small my two are at a month old compared to some just being born.  At least my newborn clothes will last awhile!  lol

I just wanted to wish everyone good luck with their upcoming deliveries and to anyone who has had their babies...good luck to you too!  lol  Hopefully your first month with your LOs will be a little less chaotic than mine.
