Hey guys,
I'm here in between potty training and packing for vacation. We are leaving tomorrow morning to go up to the White Mountains and North Conway. Storyland/Santa's Village here we come! We are so excited for the boys to see these places. Both DH and I grew up going here on vacation most summers and we can't wait to see their reactions!
Connor is doing amazing on the potty and it has gone so much easier than I have ever imagined. He got the concept pretty quickly and now is going all on his own yay! Aaron is even interested and we have sat him on the potty a few times but he hasn't done anything yet. We also did the dreaded switch to a toddler bed for Connor which has also gone amazingly well and better than expected!
Our next step is to move Aaron in with Connor when his crib comes in from the BRU warehouse next week. That is something that I'm hoping goes as well as the potty training and toddler bed transition.
Some new skills Aaron has been working on: Singing Happy Birthday every time I light a candle lol, He has been working on his ABC's and can say about 10 letters, and lastly we had our first poop incident during tubby time the other night. I took him out of the tub and let him run around for a minute with his towel and before I could grab him to get a diaper on, he pooped right on the floor and then laughed about it!
Hope everyone is doing well
Re: Dec. momma challenge
Have fun on your vacation!
That's great that your boys are doing so well with PTing! DS has peed on the potty about 4 times over the past few weeks, but we're just doing it casually. He is starting to tell me when he's going in his diaper, so I guess that's a sign we're making a little progress.
I actually just posted my challenge asking about the ABC's. I can't believe how big these kids are getting & how smart they are!
Yay for peeing on a potty!
A question for you: do you think potty training is going easier on you because you waited a bit until Connor was over 2.5? That is my plan as well, so I'm just wondering!
Yes I think it is definitely easier. He understands the concept, knows when he has to go, and tells me. Aaron hasn't quite gotten the concept yet, he just thinks it is something fun we do with him lol
We want to do Santa's Village/Story Land next summer. I have never been but think A would love it.
Have fun!!! And congrats on the potty training!!!
