I know Sweetpea posted a buffalo chicken recipe for grilled pizza a few weeks back- can I get it or any other suggestions to make grilled pizza?
Do you use bobli ( sp?) dough, or make your own?
TIA! I hope I made you hungry!
p.s.
I wanted to have a kiss azz moment as well and tell you both I think you are awesome that is all... Lips off azz now!
Re: Sweetpea or Malin: a ? About grilled pizza
Awww, Beca!!! I think you're pretty stinkin' awesome yourself! I love how much you love Bo and are always doing stuff with him.
Ok, pizza... I used the store made pizza dough that they sell in the refrigerated section. You could certainly make your own and I plan to do that at some point. I've made the barbecue chicken one, a veggie one which was just like a normal veggie pizza you would make and I've made this recipe https://www.eatingwell.com/recipes/grilled_pizza_with_pesto_tomatoes_feta.html, it was fantastic!
Just be really careful when cooking it, it's really easy to burn the crust.
I know this wasn't directed towards me so I hope you don't mind me answering
But we make grilled pizza a lot. We use Cooks Illustrated or Ina Gartens for the dough and then get creative with the toppings...

My favs are white pizza with olive oil, cheese, garlic, white sauce, ricotta cheese, and spinach or garlic oil, mozz cheese, tomatos, and basil.

Grilled pizza is so much fun because you can make them individual size and let everyone pick their own toppings
AWww thank you malin!! That pesto recipe sounds yummy; my MIL would love that ( I suppose I could be nice tonight).
Thank you for the burning heads up... did your dough rise before you put it on the grill.. or do you buy it frozen and lay it on the grill pan? May be a stupid question
HAHA! can this please be my new name? ass kisser? YUMMY! See, I am a meat lover of the family. Do you have your dough recipe handy?
Tunatartar or tatet tot or rebecca
Thank you so much for your input, I am going to the link right now. I love Ina!! Say that 10 times and see if the last time Ina turns into gyna or vagina
The dough wasn't frozen so I just let it warm up so I could stretch it out easier, got it to wear I wanted it and popped it on... this is MUCH easier with a pizza peel, otherwise it's virtually impossible to get it off of whatever it's on and then put it on the grill. The dough goes on first, puff up and browns a little, take it off, flip it over so the toppings go on the side that was on the grill, put your toppings on and then back on it goes, but only for a few minutes.
Can I find this at my normal grocery store?
Thank you for the recipe.. does this rise quickly?
Thank you!! I am on it!
I think I am going to try this for one of them

We grill pizza a lot too! I buy frozen dough and let it sit on the counter for an hour or two to thaw. Then you just stretch it out to make the shape you want.
I grill one side, flip, and then quick put my toppings on and close the lid to create an oven affect. Watch for burning!
My fave don't include traditional red pizza sauce. I love to brush the dough with evoo and then spread on roasted garlic and carmalized onions and top with prosciuto (butchered that spelling) and a white cheese (goat, parm shavings, mozzarella).
Oh wow, that looks delish! Thank for making me hungry! :-)
