Yes, I have turned my son into a 80 year old woman. Apparently I must say this a lot. Now whenever anything goes wrong (say he drops his lovey) he busts out with a very sad and pathetic "oh dear."
Haha. That's so sweet! One of the little girls that I nannied for would always say " Oh Maaaaan!" around this age and I thought that it was one of the cutest things.
I'll ask G "Are you coming?" She'll stand there shaking her head, and smiling. So I'll wave and start walking away, saying "Ok, bye-bye." Then she'll start running towards me, hollering "Coming!!" It has sort of become a thing between us. Makes me laugh.
He will when he is sitting with DH and I sometimes just point to one of us and say "Dats Dada" to me, or "Dats Mama" to my H. It's like he is just reminding one of us that the other person is there. I always act surprised, like "Oh, Dada is HERE? Wow!" I think he likes the reaction so he keeps doing it!
These are all so cute! If I ask J where the baby is, he point to himself and says "I baby, Mama!" And looks at me like "duh lady, who do you think the baby is?!"
And if you ask him if he's a monkey, he'll say "I not no monmey"
And if he wants to watch MMCH, he'll say "Hotdog! Hotdog!" and start dancing.
Married my best friend 01/01/09
BFP#1 05/06/10. Jarebear born 12/29/10.
BFP#2 06/22/12 (DH's birthday). EDD 02/23/13. M/C and D&C 08/09/12
When I drop something or spill something C says "oh no, oh no!" which is really cute. She also says "butt" for button but says it very clearly so it's "butt, butt..." when she wants you to press it. It's really funny when we're out in public!
O now says "I OK" whenever he falls or something and doesn't get hurt. He used to look to DH and I after he fell or whatnot to see if he should be upset or not and usually we'd tell him "It's alright, you're OK". Now he tells us and since he is such a busy kid we hear it a lot. It's pretty cute.
Ever since DD fell and scraped her knee any time she sees or perceives an injury (like when she hurls a toy across the room) she declares "Boo-boo-knee!" as though it is one word. It matters not if you hurt your foot, arm, or head, it is always "boo-boo-knee!"
"Stop it" is P's new phrase. It's mildly annoying sometimes. I did, however, turn it in her last night. She was fidgeting something awful after asking to come to bed with me. (That usually turns into 15 minutes of snuggles & then her wanting to go to her own bed haha) Last night, I said, "Penelope stop it." She said, "OK mama" and laid down. For like 15 seconds. hahaha
"MOVE!" This is not so cute. He will tell people to move out in public to move - like if someone's cart is in the way at the grocery store! ugh so mortifying. No matter how much we say, "no, you say excuse me!" he just refuses to say it.
Oh this are all sooo cute! C's been saying "pick up" frequently when he wants to be held. It sounds more like "puck up" though because he always puffs his cheeks and sticks his bottom lip out when he does it. It's freakin' adorable. I just spent way too much (in my terms) on a used Mini Boden tee yesterday that had a picture of and the words "pick up" on it.
whenever one of us is changing he says, "naked boy mommy" or "naked boy daddy" because when he's naked, we say "oh naked boy!"
and I must say "how bout -- ?" all the time because he'll grab a book or something and say "how bout monkey book?" or "how bout play dough?" or whatever. too funny!
DD says "Beep,Beep" when someone or one of the dogs is blocking her from getting where she needs to go.
Mine says beep beep, too, but when he's walking backwards, since he's been watching WAY too many construction trucks! it's like he's got his warning beeper on!
