Hi everyone!

As you can probably see from the number of posts I've made, I hardly ever post... but I do lurk a lot. I've seen some posts lately asking lurkers to "come out of hiding"... so.. HI! :)

Admittedly, one of the reasons I'm more of a lurker is because at work, I have no privacy... I barely have time to sneak peeks at the posts, much less post myself. Also, I've realized that a lot of you are in different time zones (I'm in So Cal)... when I finally get on the internet at night, a lot of you have gone to sleep!

Here's my story in a nutshell. I got married in June to my Mr. Wonderful. About 3 months before the wedding, I decided to go off BC so we could start trying right away after the wedding, buying into the notion that the pills "needed some time to wear off". Silly me... I got pregnant the first month trying! Although I never thought I would be 12 weeks pregnant at my own wedding, or the designated driver to my own bachelorette party... we were thrilled for it to happen so quickly.

Well, as you can tell, from the fact that I'm even on this board, I suffered a loss. We didn't know anything was wrong until the AFP test at 19 weeks... the results gave me a 1/4 chance of a baby with Down Syndrome. Then we did an ultrasound and the baby's heart had stopped within the previous week. I had a D&E at 19 weeks on 08/08/08. We chose not to find out the sex of our angel. Doctor told me to wait 3 months to TTC again, so here I am, TTC Cycle #2 after our loss...

I love all of the commraderie that I see on these boards... and it's so comforting to know that there are people out there in the same boat (although this boat SUCKS and I wish none of us were here.) I'm looking foward to getting to know you girls better!

    I'm very sorry for your loss.  My loss was from a somewhat "surprise" pg as well (basically like you, we didn't expect to get pg the first month of trying either!) and it totally sucks.  I'm glad you've emerged, welcome to the board.

    I'm so sorry for your loss.  I can't imagine how hard that must have been for you.  My DH and I also just got married in June (after 7 years together!) and got pregnant pretty much right away after coming off the pill as well.  It's crazy how you can go from feeling on top of the world with happiness and feeling like everything is going right, then it comes crashing down. 

    Good luck to you and I hope your stay is short and you can move onto SAL soon.  This board is full of the most supportive ladies you can find.  Welcome!

    All of us have so much in common, we have lost and we yearn to have a baby - please feel free to post anytime, for any reason.  We are here for each other!

    Im sorry for your loss :( My story is very simular to yours. I know how you feel so your not alone.    My D&E was at 18 wks, and the baby had anencephaly. I also didnt want to know the sex. Thought it would make it easier not knowing. I dont really think it helped tho. Not much can.
