Multiples

Share your 7 months olds schedule

Just looking for input on everyone's schedule w/ their multiples that are around 7 months old?

My girls are transitioning to 2 naps a day so it's a little up in the air now. Their usual schedule looks something like this:

Up at 6am: 6 oz bottle and then awake time

8am: Nap (usually for an hour max)

9am: 6 oz bottle then awake time

12pm: 2 oz each of solids then 6 oz bottle

12 -2/3: Afternoon nap

3pm: 6 oz bottle then awake until bed time

5:30pm/6pm: anywhere from 6-8 oz bottle than bedtime (both girls STTN)

We're still only practicing w/ solids by doing once a day and 2 oz max each. I'm thinking I should do twice a day? curious to see what your guys routines are like

  • 2:30am - 6-7oz bottle

    6-6:30am - Wake up

    7:15am - Solids

    8:30am - 6-7oz bottle

    9am - Nap

    12pm - Solids

    1pm - 6-7oz bottle

    1:30pm - Nap

    6:30pm - Solids

    6:45pm - Bath

    7:15pm - 6-7oz bottle

    8pm - Bed

The take 1 long nap (2-3 hours) and 1 short one (20-45 minutes) usually, but switch up when they do which each day.  They refuse to eat more often during the day so either we feed them whenever they start fussing at night or we wake them up at 3am to take another bottle.  At our 6 month appt the pediatrician asked how much they were eating and we said they were eating solids twice a day and getting about half the jar between the two of them at each feeding (so 1 oz each) and he said to try to get them to eat solids 3 times a day and go through 1.5-2 jars minimum a day between the two of them.  We now have them up to 2 ounces each (so a full jar for both) at each feeding.  For reference, mine were 14lbs 2oz and 13lbs 10oz at their 6 month check up.

  • Look at all of us mamas of twin girls around 7 months :).

    J - 9/6/09 L and A - 1/17/12
  • 6-6:30 - wake up for the day, nurse

7:30 - solids (usually fruit with oatmeal, but I might try scrambled egg yolks and toast soon)

    8:30 - nap

    9:30 - wake up, nurse

    11:30/12 - nap

1 - wake up, nurse, then solids within a half hour or so (this is where we experiment with new flavors, new textures)

3:30 - last nap, usually short (sometimes they take a later 2nd nap and skip this one altogether)

    4 - wake up, nurse

    6 - solids

6:30 - playtime with Daddy, then bath

    7 - nurse, book, bedtime

Feeding solids at lunch time doesn't always happen because we generally go out and run errands after the first nap of the day. But they get puffs and tastes of some of my food throughout the day. They LOVE them some sweet potato puffs! We tried yogurt chips and they love those as well. Puffs and Mum Mums are a must bring when I take them out to stores. Keeps them busy when they get bored of the toys I bring or looking around.
