G was playing with some extra jars of peanut butter, and she amazed me by telling me that she had 5 of them. I had no idea she could count that high. She's busted out the number 2 a bunch of times recently, and then all of a sudden pulled this 5 out of nowhere.
Are your kids counting? How high can they go?
Re: Counting - how high?
If I say one, he says 2 and 3 because we often count to 3 to prepare for stuff. But other than that (and he just started doing that this week) he doesn't count yet.
Exactly this.
Wow! Your kids are advanced. Or mine is not.
We've never counted.. I'm not sure I've counted to him though. Hmmmm... oops. He can sing parts of the alphabet though!
Wow, that's great!
He understands the concept of counting, but most of the time everything is "one". He'll point & count a bunch of things & just say, "one, one, one..." lol. He just recently finally started saying "two" & "three".
Pretty much this. Sometimes he will count on his own when he's playing, but mostly after I start by saying one.

Charlie DX Specific Antibody Deficiency & ASD
Uhhhhh...not exactly here yet.
He busts out with "2" sometimes when he in fact has two things. He doesn't count yet though.
This is us as well.
Us four.
We sometimes count to 10 when we want him to be patient and calm down, and sometimes he'll get one of the higher numbers, but for reliable counting - 3's the max.
