Has anyone been through the foster adopt route. Wanted to know what to expect tomorrow in court. Some one said it is quick. Seems to important to be minutes long. Any advice we are SOOOO excited!
It is very quick - we didnt even have it in "court"...just a boardroom type setting. It can feel a bit anticlimactic after such a long time, but all that really matters is the piece of paper they hand you at the end. Go out to a fun dinner or somethign after and soak in the celebration!!
I haven't been through this process, but we have friends who are getting closer to this exciting day. They have been told that it is pretty quick and simple once you make it to that point. But I agree with PP that you should go out to dinner or do something special to soak in the celebration!
CONGRATULATIONS! Love love love hearing stories like this!

Mine was quick. Just me and my parents in the judges office actually. He asked a few questions, ruffled my hair and we were done. Could not have been more than a half hour.
Even though it was so long ago, All three of us remember it like it just happened.
I adopted my LO thru foster care and the court case was extremely quick. They ushered us in and ushered us out. It was super quick, but soooo exciting. Good luck and enjoy every second.
