Next step in potty training?
Our girls will be three next month and have had many successful mornings and afternoons of peeing and pooping on the potty at home. One of them will wear underwear and the other prefers to be naked. One of them does well pooping on the potty and the other one will ask for a diaper to wear when pooping.It might sound silly, but I'm having a hard time getting my head around the next step of potty training. Do we put them in underwear (which will result in a tantrum from the one who prefers to be naked), get them dressed, and go to a playground for an hour? **Where did you first take your newly potty-trained twins?** We've spent an hour in the backyard and they both started to wet their underwear, but managed to get on the potty to finish.I can't get used to the idea of taking the girls away from our house without diapers on!!! Please help me get past this mental block.Thanks!

We didn't force the underwear issue, one of mine was comando for a year before she took to wearing them. We do treats and stay around the house until they have it pretty down. Takes about a week for us. Then when we leave the house we do a lot of asking if they need to go, and we bring a potty with us, just incase we can't get to a bathroom. Good luck...this has been the hardest stage for us, worse than newborn. One of mine potty trained at 3, one at 4 and one we are still waiting on...ugh.
We did the 3 day naked thing and they did great at home but as soon as I put any type of clothing on them they peed. So I started putting clothes on them at home. I think our first two outings were to the park up the street and we had accidents both times.
Ultimately they figured it out though. The keys early on were asking if they had to go a ton and carrying a potty around in our car. We'd ask before we left, getting out of the car, getting into the car etc. We drove around with a potty in the trunk for a couple of months.
