TTC After a Loss

so flippin' exhausted???? - 1w post d&c

OMG. I've been so 100% physically and mentally exhausted since my d&c. I feel like I've been drugged or something. I didn't have this with my other losses (natural and medication induced).

I took an HPT this morning to gage where my HCG levels are and, as expected, they're still pretty high. Is that where this completely wiped out feeling is coming from? I wasn't this tired when I was actually PG!

Emotionally this loss has been the least traumatic, but I am very moody (up and then very down and then conquering the world and then feeling like an ol' holey grubby sock) but I am normally very even keel.

Have any of you felt this way? I'm sure it's normal but it is really throwing me for a loop.

Thanks and high fives.

I'm sorry you're not feeling your best right now. Part of it could very well be your high hCG level, but grief in and of itself is exhausting. It takes a toll on you physically as well as emotionally. Hang in there and treat yourself gently, honey. HUGS!

    I couldn't agree more!

  • yes - I actually read an article that said the same thing about grief - it is exhausting.

i am so sorry for your loss.

  • Very, very normal. I didn't feel back to normal until after my first AF showed up. If you're still on painkillers, that doesn't help the exhaustion. I would expect you'll feel crappy until those HCG levels go down more. :( Hugs!

  • It is probably partially blood loss.  My first loss was at 8/9 weeks with a D&C.  I got so TIRED from losing all that blood.  My second was natural at 5/6 weeks (could be different...we are guessing).  I didn't get the tired feeling as much at all with the second one.  My mom is a nurse and said I had symptoms of blood loss (pale, easily fatigued, etc).  Drink lots of water, eat well, and just treat yourself kindly.  ((hugs))
