DH birthday was August 4 and we were actually driving home from a week long trip to Florida and I still haven't done anything for him. I was looking at Massage Envy because he has mentioned getting a massage for a while now but I don't want to sign up for a membership just yet in case he doesn't care for it. Also, he works in the oilfield so his schedule is constantly changes.
What do you think?
What would you ladies do as a late birthday/1st time daddy-to-be gift?
TIA for your help!!
Re: Help with a gift for DH??
My DH is so hard to buy for but I ended up getting him a really nice watch.
I bought him a watch for Father's Day and we ended up taking it back because the watches he has he doesn't wear. Then, while on vacay I tried to get him to get a pair of Oakley sunglasses he wanted and loved but he didn't get them.
I told him I was having a hard time finding something for him that wasn't a watch or sunglasses and he told me to get him something I thought he would like but all I can think of is a nice watch or those Oakley's. And his mention of a massage popped in my head today while working on some baby stuff.
Is a massage lame?
My other go-to gift for DH is football tickets.
I'm thinking Im liking the couple's massage idea and Massage Envy offers prenatal massages. Score.
I am blessed my husband is not much a sports fan. Mine is a movie and exotic car buff. I wanted to do one of those drive 5 exotic cars experiences but they are EXPEN$IVE..
Still open for more ideas though..
You ladies are awesome..My pregnancy brain is getting the better of me.
Pinterest has tons of homemade and creative ideas. One I did was create a date jar last valentine's day. I labeled the jar "52 things to do." The dates included a couple more pricey ones, like a "weekend getaway to a destination of your choice."
And it included really cheap ones like "movie night in - redbox it!" and 'homemade dinner of your choice." I tried to be really creative, and include things he would want to do that I haven't wanted to in the past, like restaurants he's suggested that I've shot down.
It's been really fun as he's opened the dates and we schedule them together. There are a few that we've put off because they're not practical right now, but DH keeps them clipped on the fridge and reminds me now and then, "When are we going to go camping? You know it's my date..."
Good luck coming up with an idea!
This is what he's getting from me this year.
Bahahaha. I'm the one who turned DH into a sport's fan
He knew nothing about football when I met him. I'm lucky that he could be trained. :P
I don't know much about cars, or the cost the rent them, but you could look into renting a really fancy car for a day. Whatever else you do will be done in style!
