Today was ds's junior high orientation and my baby girl is turning one next week. Dh is out of town for a week and I've been crying all day. I'm so nervous for DS. I've been back and forth with school and pedi all summer trying to figure out what the next step is for him(those of you who don't know, autism has been brought up) and we've all decided to give him 6 months before we put him through testing and see how he adjusts. I'm scared:(
Re: You guys I'm an emotional mess:(
Shanado don't worry he will be fine. All you can do is be supportive to him and let him be (I know easier said than done). ::::Big Hugs::::
Hang in there! Big breakdowns can come before big Breakthroughs.
For your DS, I imagine the situation is challenging and with great support (like you are seeking) it is doable and rewarding. Regardless of the test results, you are dedicated that one way or another he develops the skills to thrive. This is going way ahead, but I worked with a man who was functionally schizophrenic. The government subsidized his employment and in this way he supported himself. I was glad to work with him.
For your DD, congratulations!!!!

Ppssshhh..... I seem to recall the routing I was given just last game!
Your kids look to you for reassurance and confidence. If you stay strong, so will they. No worries-- your son will be JUST fine.
And as far as your daughter goes...I cried like a baby on her 1st birthday. Can't help you there!
You have every right to cry!! Your son is going to do great! He has an awesome support system and a fabulous mom who cares!!!
Your baby turning 1 is a huge milestone. You're rasing some awesome kiddos! You should be so proud!
