I was thinking these were going to be notes where kids fill in the person's name, gift, and write a sentence about it. I'm okay with those for kids who can barely write, since it gets them in the habit of expressing gratitude. These, however, are appalling. The kid doesn't even have to sign their name, for heaven's sake!
I've handwritten notes for Rhett and stamped his foot on them. If that makes you feel any better about the next generation. He'll be writing his own notes as soon as he possibly can.
I love stamping of the foot! I am totally stealing your idea

I was on Shutterfly yesterday ordering my thank you notes with the matching address labels and I seriously almost ordered calling cards for the girls.
This will definitely date me, but did you have those as a kid? Maybe it is a regional thing, but we all had these small cards with only our full name on them. I think they went on every birthday gift I ever gave until I was in high school.

Ugh. I don't know what is worse - that or just not sending one. When we were younger my mom had the ones where you fill in the blanks but once I hit middle school one of my Christmas presents was always stationary. I am 26 and still get it from my mother every year!
After my cousing's wedding, we got a thank you note that went something like this.
Dear _____________.
Thank you so much for coming to our _____________.
Thank you so much for your gift. We
__ Can't wait to use it in _________ .
__ Promise not to spend it too fast
__ Love that you thought of us.
Love _______________.
It was a check in the box/fill in the blank.
After I picked my jaw off the floor, I posted it to our fridge and DH and I laughed at it for weeks. People couldn't believe it when they saw.
Which option did they check off for you?
For a wedding? For adults?
I have no words.

OH, and Liz what the hell are you posting this here for????
It's not an etiquette board. Sheesh.
I thought my coterie would appreciate it.

They didn't have a cut and paste option?

Bad enough for kids. For a wedding thank you? Completely inappropriate.
Sigh.
