I feeling pretty guilty today as I'm finding it more and more difficult for me to be as active with my daughter as I would like. Maybe I'm just having an off week, I really hope this won't last or worsen for the remainder of my pregnancy, but I'm not sure how I can have a quality day with DD w/o "killing" myself in the process. Going outside to play sounds very unpleasant - the heat and humidity make it really hard for me to breath. Plus I don't love smelling like a teenage locker room after being out for only 5 minutes. And a lot of things I could get into with her indoors require being on the floor, our hard, uncomfortable floor. I can only handle so much of that. I feel like I'm getting in a bad, bad habit of just turning on the TV and trying to tell her to go play with her toys while I sit on the couch. I don't like this at all! Do you have any creative ideas of fun things to do at this age that are not really, physically demanding for mom? How have you other mommas handled your LO's and kept them entertained while PG and tired/sore?

Re: Activities w/ 15mo while PG?
I've been acting as a human jungle gym for DD. As long as she doesn't crawl or kick my belly we're good. I'll sit on the couch and she'll hang on my back while I sway side to side or forward. Thinks it's the best thing in the world. Also, we set up her twin bed in her new room, she loves to play in there. I'll lay on the bed and she'll cook us food with her kitchen, we look at books, or play night-night.
I try to get outside with her at least once a day. If it's hot then first thing in the morning.
He likes to colour on a large piece of paper (so there isn't much of a mess). I also got some of those foam stickers from Michaels and he likes to make pictures. Lots of reading too.
Wow... both our kiddos and pregnancies are very close in timing! (Great minds think alike!) I'm in AZ and the heat is killing me. Yesterday I tried to run errands and ended up so exhausted from the heat (car thermometer said 117 degrees) I was throwing up. To keep my little guy busy I've been hitting up the local library times, mall play areas (gross!!!) and hosting play groups at our house. We've also been swimming almost every afternoon (sunscreen is a must!) which has been a huge lifesaver for both of us.
We're also in the process of interviewing a nanny (even though I'm a SAHM) to help 2 days a week starting in September. We'll use this same person once our daughter is born to allow me to spend individual time with each child, run errands, etc. I know this may not be an option for everyone but I'm looking forward to being able to slow down as this pregnancy progresses. It's only going to get more and more uncomfortable from here!
