EGGS??

Not the ones from your ovaries but the ones you eat!  Are you feeding your LO eggs?  Just yolks? Waiting until 9 months???

    Yes. She's had hard boiled yolks and scrambled yolk. She prefers scrambled.

    The guide from the nurses said 6-8 months "meat and alternatives"...so we started up early

    Yes I am feeding my LO eggs, he loves quiche and pancakes, but he's not so sure when they are on their own, as you can see from my ticker he is 9 months already, but I having been for a few weeks now, I have heard various reports, but most information I found says it is ok to do.

    Diagnosed with Anti little c antibodies. DS1 7.11.11 - Anaemia and Jaundice. 10 days in the NICU, 1 exchange transfusion and 4 blood transfusions. DS2 29.8.13 - Anaemia 7 days in the NICU and 1 exchange transfusion. Both are now happy and healthy.

    Yes. She LOVES scrambled eggs. She's also had pancakes and various other things with egg ingredients.

    She has had scrambled egg yolks, but wasn't very interested. I think we'll wait until 9months to introduce full eggs.

    not yet. i'm going to wait until she is 1 b/c i think she might have reacted to eggs through my breast milk.

    We have given scrambled eggs, pancakes and I'm sure other things with eggs in them.  I read the BLW book and all the information from the pedi and somehow I didn't realize we were't supposed to.  Our pedi says no eggs until 12 months.  Guess I screwed that up big time.

    Yes, he eats scrambled eggs and cheese omlettes. I feed him the whole egg. He loves them!

    I've given him hard boiled yolks. We started them about 8.5 months.

    We actually just tried scrambled yolks this morning and she was a fan. Our pedi says meat and egg yolks starting at 8 mos (but I was making eggs this morning so figured I would try) and cheese and whole eggs at 10 mos. so I will wait on those until then. I can't wait until we have the all clear for everything so we can all just eat the same thing for every meal.

    I have been giving DD cheese for about 3 weeks so I might as well try some egg yolks.

    DS has eaten foods with eggs in them, like pancakes and banana bread, but we haven't given him eggs or yolks plain yet. My pedi didn't mention anything. Maybe it said something in our solids handout? We'll probably wait until 9 months to try scrambled eggs which we eat every weekend.

    We've done the whole hard boiled egg (mixed with various foods) because our pedi says to give him everything and anything he'll eat.  (He says that kids develop allergies when certain foods are withheld...which is the new school of thought as of recently.)

    We've been giving whole eggs since about 6 months.  When I asked the pedi about allergens she also cited the research showing no benefit to waiting (in the absense of family history).  DD loves them!

    I'm going to give her some this weekend.  New research shows there is no real need to avoid certain foods anymore.

    She had a bite or two of an egg a couple of months ago and had a horrible, horrible allergic reaction. We won't be trying them again until she's at least 2.
