SO DS's party is next weekend and I am conflicted on what to get him. He's not walking yet and we have most of the "big" things (push toys, ride on toys, cars, play kitchen) because of DD. It's all gender neutral tones but I really want to get DS something new and not hand me down for his birthday. I just don't know what, we don't need a bunch of little toys sitting around and I don't want to get him something just to get him something.
Any ideas or suggestions? I was thinking of some bigger trucks and cars to play with, not ride on but ones he can sit and play with.
Re: Birthday Question
These little trucks are so cute!

Also a toy box is cool and IKEA has some great ones
This is what I got my daughter:
- New clothes
- New books (touchy/feely Usborne books, mainly)
- A toy remote control (Sesame Street) because she loves to eat the real one! lol
- A potty chair
I didn't think about that one! THANKS FOR POSTING!!!!! Genius!
Target has an enormous dump truck that I would get DS if we hadn't purchased enough stuff already. It's their Circo brand. I know Tonka makes giant ones, too, but I just saw the one at Target the other day.
What about puzzles? My mom got him one of the Melissa & Doug wodden puzzles that has large pieces with big knobs, so age-appropriate for DS.
Believe it or not, she is already sitting on it.
I put her on it before every bath and in the morning. She loves it because she sees me go or her brother go, and feels like she is just like us. Her brother was full trained (day and night) by 20 months old.
