I mostly lurk and occassionaly post, but I thought I'd post a brief birth story.

My 39 week appointment was two Mondays ago and I was closed up tight for my first internal. I was slightly soft but not at all effaced or dilated.

Last Wednesday I went to bed with no signs of labor, I even woke up at 1 to take a leak and felt nothing, then bam! At 4:40 my water broke. To make a short story even shorter, my little guy Henry was born just shy of 4 hours later.

So anyone who's frustrated by a lack of progress, take heart. Things can go really, really quickly.

    WOWZ! And congrats!

    Very encouraging.

    My appointment yesterday they said I haven't progressed at all. BOO! But this puts a light at the end of my tunnel atlease. :D

    That is so great t hear! Definitely heart warming, especially that you went from nothing to baby in no time flat! I'll keep my fingers crossed to be as lucky as you!
