Random- neck support during car seat test?

This is total random and not necessary but I just thought of it. When DD took her car seat test they chose not to use the neck support that came with the seat. They also told us not to use it since they didn't use it during the test.

Did everyone else's hospital use the neck support pads or no?

Ours took the support out because they thought he wouldn't need it but then they put a towel in because he it seemed he did after he was in the seat.. but in general they supported using the neck support.

At our NICU they took at the infant inserts when testing C the first time (which she failed), but the second time the left them in there and she passed. We used the infant pads until 11lbs and then took them out (Chicco recommended that you remove at 11lbs).

I'm not sure it's neck support exactly, but we have the Chicco newborn pads PP mentioned, and our NICU left them in.

Ours used the newborn support bd aide it came with the carseat. They won't let you use them otherwise. We had to show the manual to prove they were from the manufacturer.
