Nursing pads at night

The disposable pads work fine during the day but at night if I move too much and my breasts move positions then I am drenched by the time LO is ready for his next feeding. I was just wondering if you ladies had any suggestions? as I type I am feeding LO on one side and have a burp cloth covering the other because my bra was damp because of the leaking/positioning when we both woke up and it actually feels kind of nice to not be wearing a bra for once. Has anyone used lilypadz? I was researching them and they seem like a good product but any firsthand experience is much appreciated.

    Ugh me too. I took to wearing a tighter tank top with a shelf bra, but I'm also looking at maybe buying Medela's sleep bra. Also, one night I just got fed up and I put the nursing pads in my sleep nursing tank then stuck a pad between the two nursing pads so like lengthwise over my cleavage so any leakage of misplaced boobs got soaked up by the pad. Worked well but too much to do every night.nbsp;

    Haha, I love it! I have totally thought of doing the pad thing but haven't actually done it. There just has to be a better solution.

  • I use Avent Breast Shells.  They actually catch the milk and then you just need to rinse them out when you are done.  I am using them because I have damaged nipples and I don't want my nips touching cotton nursing pads while they heal - but they work for keeping me dry too.  Although, I do spill them sometimes, lol.

    I also remember in my breastfeeding class, the LC suggested buying one pair of more expensive nursing pads.  I don't remember the brand, but they make some with gortex and they are supposed to last longer.  She suggested them for when you have a special event like a wedding - but maybe they'd be good for overnight too.
