Tell me about something you love (NBR)

So work is super slow today, we're locked down and I don't feel like helping with feeding today, I did it all day yesterday and worked overtime. (I work in a prison)

I wanted to share something I'm in love with right now. Radiolabs. They have an app. Download it. You can also listen from iTunes. Their podcats are so entertaining, well edited and really interesting. They are podcasts from a radio station out of New York and they have random topics. I've listened to podcasts about memory, sperm, zoos, stress....the list is endless. It's worth a listen. I love listening to them on my way home from work on my commute.

I want to hear about something that you love and want to tell everyone else about! What do I need, but don't know it yet? :)

    pkaren--radiolabs are awesome! I used to teach a college level writing class and I had my students listen to radiolabs and make rhetorical arguments on them. It was pretty entertaining paper-grading!

    Something I love? hmmmm. the new cuisinart food processor with nesting bowls and locking lid! I can make pizza dough, pie crust, all kinds of things in a whiz.

    Is it bad that the first thing that popped into my head was food related? I'm addicted to Ginger Crackles cookies right now. I made a batch over the weekend and I have no self control when it comes to them. None. You should either make or buy some pronto. Unless you don't like ginger cookies and then I'm no help. Stick out tongue

    I actually need a new food processor! I'm going to have to look into this one! :)

    I PPH this post and you!! Smile My DH is obsessed with RadioLab; when we lived in northern NJ, New York NPR was the only thing we listened to in the car. Now, DH downloads them, and we end up listening to them on long car trips.

    I'm totally in love with a Netflix movie we watched last night called Ten Inch Hero. The actors are relative unknowns (I only knew Clea DuVall), but the plot is sweet and funny and romantic and totally engaging. It's got some LOL moments, but it's also a tear-jerker in spots thanks to some serious sweetness. It's currently an instant play on Netflix, and I totally recommend it--I can't wait to watch it again! (One note: while pregnancy is not a direct topic in the movie, adoption is.)

    I've never even heard of that movie! I'm going to see if I can download it when I get home tonight! Thanks for the rec Rosie! :)

    I have been loving going for a long morning walk in the morning. It clears my head for the day, and I feel like I get so much more accomplished.

    Now I'm going to DL Radiolab and listen to it!

    I have enough of a hard time prying myself out of bed in the morning! I try to get out for a run on my lunch hour, I find it helps break up the day, clear my head and I don't feel so guilty if I don't work out after work when I'm exhausted!

    You know I love me some RadioLabs, too, pkaren!

    Right now I am full-on obsessed with canning. I'm having a total Midwest moment here. My parents got me a canner for my birthday in July and this last week, I canned peaches, zucchini, tomatoes, and pickles. Today I'm planning to make some apple pie and peach pie filling to can for the fall.

    I was thinking about you when I wrote this! Canning sounds delicious!! My MIL does a bunch every fall, so we get a bunch of it for Christmas usually. DHs favourite is her chili sauce! I need to learn...one day!

    coke icees! there's a burger king right by my office... I go there a couple days a week and get an icee

    I am a huge NPR fan so i totally get the fondness of RadioLabs. The other day I realized that one of my offices has Herman Miller Eron chairs and it made my day Wink

    Right now I am in love with our Roku. I like that we can get into one show and watch as much of it as we like. I also love that we aren't paying our terrible cable company any more.

    Yes DH and I recently started doing this and it is great! I highly recommend it.

    I love the website peeonastick.com.  I am a little obsessed with POAS (OPKs and HPTs) and this website has so much info about both.  The woman who created it found a really interesting way to provide factual information about POAS.
