Amazing news with a question...

My husband and I finally got HEAR the heartbeats of our little twins ;) So epic because we have never made it this far. ( 2 prior miscarriage at 6.5)  I also for last couple of days I have been cramping at night.. I guess it's the babies growing ? cramping is normal right? I pray ;) but I just wanted to share with everyone !!

Re: Amazing news with a question...

  • I cramped all the time with my twins, I'm sure it's normal but definitely worth mentioning to your OB if you are worried.

  • Congrats and welcome.  Hearing the HB is such a wonderful milestone.  Cramping isn't uncommon, but with your previous losses, I would definitely let your OB/GYN know, he/she may want to keep a closer eye on you.  I cramped with DS1 pretty much the entire 1st trimester.
  • Congrats!

I've had off and on cramping (more so at the beginning of my pregnancy) that just felt more uncomfortable but not painful - think tightening or twinges.

Over the past 2 days though I had painful cramping to the point I couldn't stand upright yesterday morning.  I called my CNM and she talked to me about it, wasn't too concerned, but told me if I didn't have relief with some of the at home remedies she ok'ed over the phone to call back to elevate to next steps.

If you're worried, I wouldn't think twice about calling.  My CNM told me she would much rather I call about something that turned out not to be a big deal, if for nothing else to reduce my anxiety/stress level from worrying about it.

  • Congrats on hearing the heartbeats!

I cramped from right before my BFP (thought I was about to get my period) to about 10ish weeks.  Now I get more RLP on and off.  It is normal but if you are really concerned I would call your OB.

  • I cramped in the beginning of my pregnancy too. I think it's normal to have light cramping as long as there's no blood and you aren't doubled over in pain.

  • I had lots of RLP.  Drink lots and lots of water and take it easy.  Congrats!
