XP: Those who got BFP with RE...

in 1st Trimester

I go for second betas on Friday but I had a couple of (optimistic!!) questions.

First, will/was your EDD calculated by LMP or ovulation date?

How long until you are released to OB/Gyn?

Should I call my OB to make an appointment, or will my RE send stuff over to notify them?

I realize everyone's docs are different, I'm just looking for your experience.

    How long until you are released to OB/Gyn?  I was finally released after my second U/S that I insisted I got from them (although he said they usually don't do that...oh well!)  I go to my OB now in 2 more weeks.

    Should I call my OB to make an appointment, or will my RE send stuff over to notify them?  Nope...you have to call them.  I actually went with an OB that the RE recommended....still had to give the OB panel and such for them as well.

    I'm a little different since I was IVF, so my EDD was based on my retrieval date.

    I was released today at 8 weeks to my OB.

    For both of my pgs, I've called to make appointments with my OB.  The RE's office today asked if I knew who my OB was going to be and took down the info to send the relevant records.  Don't be surprised if your OB doesn't want to see you until about 12 weeks.  However, I rather make my appointments sooner rather than later since I'm never sure how far in advance the appointments are booked.

    First, will/was your EDD calculated by LMP or ovulation date? Most of the time its from your LMP.  Because when you go in for ER your considered 2w along.

    How long until you are released to OB/Gyn? Mine released me after my 2nd u/s

    Should I call my OB to make an appointment, or will my RE send stuff over to notify them? After your beta's and 1st u/s I  would call your OB's office.  This way you would have seen the hb flicker.

    Should I call my OB to make an appointment, or will my RE send stuff over to notify them? I didn't call my OB until I had been released from my RE.

    First, will/was your EDD calculated by LMP or ovulation date?  O dateHow long until you are released to OB/Gyn?   My RE usually releases after one viability ultrasound around 7 weeks.  I need to have at least one more tomorrow, I guess because of a vanishing twin issue.  Praying everything is still okay in there.Should I call my OB to make an appointment, or will my RE send stuff over to notify them?  I would have to go back to my family doctor to get a referral to an OB (Canada).
    Miscarriage in January 2012 at 8 weeks
    Subsequently diagnosed with low P4, LOR. MH DX low motility, varicocele 
    BFP in July 2012 (Gonal-f + trigger + IUI#2 (B2B) + prometrium)
    Lost Baby A prior to 7 weeks; large SCH; Baby B (Bug) was born in March 2013

    My due date was based on when my RE told me to take clomid and when to do my trigger shot.  So a pretty clear due date for me.  Then she confirmed the due date with an internal ultrasound.

    I was released at 7.5 weeks.  My RE seemed pretty thorough, I had 3 betas.  Then 3 ultrasounds.  The heartbeat was detected during the second ultrasound but she still wanted another one the week after.  Then finally I was released!

     I did make an appointment with my OB before I was released.  The tricky part is you don't know when you'll be released.  I wanted to make sure i could get in to see the OB quickly, I ended up having to postpone that appointment but at least I was glad to have something scheduled.

    Mine was ovulation date

    I was released at 9 weeks but I think this is pretty late. I had some wonky beta levels that kept me there for a while.

    I had to call my OB and arrange the transfer of records myself.

    First, will/was your EDD calculated by LMP or ovulation date? My RE went by O date, but my OB moved it so that is based on LMP. It was only a day difference, so not a big deal. 

    How long until you are released to OB/Gyn? I was released right before 8 weeks, after 2 normal ultrasounds.

    Should I call my OB to make an appointment, or will my RE send stuff over to notify them? I had to call my OB to make the appointment, and then request for my files to be sent from the RE office to the OB office.
