Not really a brag, but the g-tube is in and it was the best decision ever! DD is more active than she has ever been. Her OT was very impressed with the way she was playing. She is still not sitting up yet, but what almost 11lb baby sits up? She is gaining about .5 oz to 1 oz a night.
DS2 answered 3 "who" questions correctly this morning.
We get his wheelchair on Monday.
When DS1 called him "buddy" he said "NO! I'm 'his name'!"
Yesterday he walked really well in his walker which was a vast improvement of a week ago when he had a rough balance day last week and wasn't able to walk with it at all.
I bought a Kaye bench (which was delivered on Friday) so we can work on various things. He was able to use the bench to get himself to standing from a step stool!
Danica crawled with extended arms this week (she's only "army" crawled while dragging her whole right side until now). It's very short distances, but I'll take 2 inches!

This week as I was driving the girls to the gym (they play in the child care while I work out), DD1 told me, "Mama, I love you even though you're not here." Translation: I love you when you're not around. ::snuffle:: My sweet girl.
She's doing excellent with me on her current RDI objective, which is being able to recognize & respond appropriately to a "still face"/emotional disengagement by another person. It's kind of frustrating, though, b/c she's great at this stuff with me but doesn't yet generalize it very well to other kids/people.
I was putting a bunch of pics up on FB this week from various things this summer, and it just reminded me in very happy ways of how beautiful and fun both of my girls are, and how enjoyable this summer has been!
We met with Nate's vision therapist today who he sees once a quarter. She was doing a visual assessment on him and was asking a bunch of questions about matching things, sorting by color etc. I plopped Nate down on the couch and started to give her a tour with him through the various ipad apps we have where he can do most of the stuff she was asking about.
She was totally blown away by what he was doing. "He is not only progressing, he is excelling!" was what she said. She also said that she left our house really energized because Nate is doing so well. Awesome!
DS was playing mostly appropriately with a little girl at a train table at the library. Sure he was a little too loud for the enviroment (but really tried when I told him to use an inside voice) and he was copying the girl (both in play an echolalia) but he was really making an effort to play with he.
DH said that yesterday evening he was kind of leading the play between him and two other boys (brothers he has played with before one's older one's younger) at the park by saying things like "let's ride our bikes" or "let's play in the sand"
These things are so awesome. In the past he has been pretty repetitive in play and/or turns kids off by doing things like screaming "boo" in their faces long past the point they've told him non-verbally and verbally that they don't like it.
I was on vacation last week to share that my DS blew out candles and ATE his cupcake at his birthday party. This is his first birthday where he ate cake. He's made so much progress..
