Oh mother's guilt :(

Wow! I didn't realize how bad mother's guilt could be. Today ds got frustrated and bite my finger with his two sharp little fangs almost breaking skin. I looked him right in the face and firmly said "no"! Well his little bottom lip came out like he was going to cry and then he flung himself into my arms. I wanted to die! I felt horrible! I knwo its only going to get worst as he gets older but I didn't realize it was going to make me feel so bad, lol.

What's your mother's guilt moment?

    Its awful isnt it? DS is a roller and diaper changes have been a nightmare for the last 2 months since he constantly wants on his belly. The one time I been fighting with him for like 20 minutes to change his diaper and I got frustrated and let out a rather scary "Jacob, stop it!" He stopped, looked at me and that bottom lip turned down and I was done. I felt so horrible. I picked him and hugged him before the tears started but I still felt like pooh.

    My DS is a pincher!!!! And it really hurts sometimes. One day last week I said NO! ouch!! And he looked back at me with his big, blue sad/scared eyes. I felt terrible. I'm sure down the road saying NO will get much easier and much more common!

    Ds doesn't pinch but he has a death grip and squeezes so hard that it hurts like hell!

    Diaper changes for us have gotten challenging as well. It scares me that he's going to flip off. It's also now his mission to grab his little winky, lol. He strains his head forward to peek down to see if it's there and then grabs at it with both hands. I have to defend against his hands, keep him on the table, clean him and change the diaper. I swear, it should be an Olympic event lol.

    I hate that bototm lip its heartbreaking.  That said, I try to remind myself that these moments are the few not the many and that DD is clearly lvoed and secure as evidenced by her exceptionally happy and confident disposition.  So on the occasion that I must sharply say no when she digs her nails or teeth into my oh so delicate areolas, she is still being cradled in my arms.
