My boys are here!

i've been an on-and-off poster here throughout my pregnancy, so i just thought i'd share my story. forgive me for my lack of capital letters, but i'm using my DH's Mac and I have a hard time with the keyboard.

On Thursday, july 26, my water broke at 12 noon in the ladies' restroom at work right after i'd gone to the bathroom. luckily my DH and i work together, so he was able to assist me out to the car and to the hospital. I wasn't having contractions, so they started Pitocin and by 10 that night i was feeling them very strong. i had the epidural but i wasn't prepared for the pain and pressure i still felt as i got closer to 10 cm. At 6 am they wheeled me into the OR. i wasn't prepared for how hard the pushing part would be. At 6:44 am, David Ethan was born vaginally and at 7 am, Thomas Adren was also born vaginally. David was 5 lbs. 0 oz. and Thomas was 5 lbs. 5 oz. David had the cord wrapped around his neck and did experience some respiratory distress. He went to the NICU for observation for 4 hours but Thomas came back to the room with me. Our hospital stay went so fast and I really miss being able to use the nurse call button! Life at home has been challenging to say the least, but we love these boys so much.

I was 36 weeks, 5 days at delivery.

Thanks to all for the pregnancy support. This has been an amazing and addictive resource. Looking forward to connecting with all the new and seasoned mommas regarding newborn care of my little guys!

I've been waiting to see this post! I hadn't seen you around in a bit and I figured that you must have had your little ones. CONGRATS to my fellow Indiana Momma! I'm so glad you are all doing well. I can't wait to join you in two weeks or less!
