Blubbering mess when saying goodbye to a therapist

Our speech therapist had her last session with us due to going on medical leave and it was much harder than imagined. I know how deeply she cares for J and our family. I was able to get some really great pictures of them together, but it was so hard to choke back the tears. Please tell me I am not the only one who goes through this.....

    Totally happened to me when we exited EI, I was so grateful to our SLP for the progress we had made.  Big time tears.

    When we exited out of EI, not only was I a mess but his therapists were as well.  One therapist we had from 15 months on, one we had from 20 months on and another who was sobbing we had for only 6 months but she had been with us several days a week.

    Aaron had his last session on July 27th and turns 3 next Tuesday. I was crying at the end--even though his therapists asked for me to keep in touch.

    I'll really miss one in particular, as she was a help to me as well as my son.
