Would anyone have suggestions on a cute/unique 1st birthday ideas for a boy. I don't want something you see all the time,but can find supplies.

For my DD we are doing an Uno card game theme. They have these cute outfits on Etsy (for both boys and girls) and I'm doing a lot of DIY things with Uno cards. For paper products and stuff like that we are just going with the colors (red, yellow, green & blue). It's a really cute co-gender theme.

We are doing under the sea themed. I have been browsing the clearance sections and picking up stuff here and there. Since the end of the summer is nearing a lot of sea, swimming, ocean like stuff is on sale.

You can do blocks (abc blocks, duplo blocks), a favorite book, colors and stripes, etc.

I just saw the Uno idea from a pp...what about candyland? A friend of mine did sock monkeys, this year she did it based on the Goldfish snack.

Or what about cute bugs, you could make worms in dirt for the dessert. I'm going with Cat in the Hat...so I'm not exactly all that creative myself.

we are doing monkey theme and getting some good ideas with a monkey and banana theme. when you see your son playing or eating what is the first thing that pops in your head? for our son it was monkey loves his bananas and crawls over everything,
