Seriously! I'm already a picky eater but this pregnant food aversion stuff is insane! I'm rarely hungry and once I do eat I can't eat nearly as much as I use to. I haven't had any vomiting in pregnancy and did have some nausea in the first trimester and once in a while now in the second. I've always been a "texture eater" meaning, certain textures turn my stomach. Like, if I'm eating a chicken breast (back before they turned my stomach) if I were to bite into a piece of untrimmed fat, I'd have to spit out the chicken and couldn't continue. I can't bear to eat chicken now, occasionally maybe a chicken strip or two but that's it. Today I made a PB& for lunch. I managed to eat half before the texture of the bread turned my stomach and I had to spit out the first bite of the second half. So, my lunch today is a big bottle of water, a small bag of popcorn and a Slim Fast shake (I figure since I'm hardly getting any protein, these may be a good option for me). I hope I get over these aversions SOME day, but I'm obese and my organs are now shifting up and not allowing for much food anymore anyway, so I guess, we'll see what happens.

Re: Can I eat ANYTHING!?
I'm sorry you're having such a rough time with the food aversions. I'm really picky about meat too...I have to carefully trim fat and red spots from chicken, especially. I will say though that you do need to be eating more than popcorn and a slim fast shake to meet your and your babies' nutritional needs. If you want to get a nutritional drink, instead of Slim Fast, try one like Ensure, Boost, or even Carnation Instant Breakfasts.
Protein is critical so try smaller, protein packed meals each day. Can you tolerate cheese, yogurt, milk, etc.? Dairy is a great source of protein. My dietician also had me switch to full fat dairy (whole milk, yogurt and cheese) because your babies need fat too. Another good option for protein is beans, peanut butter, nuts (almonds and peanuts) and even whole grain breads like Ezekial bread (in the freezer section).
Do you like Mexican food? On days when nothing really sounded good to me I'd go to Chipotle and get a burrito bowl with brown rice, black beans, beef or chicken, sour cream, cheese, guacamole, etc. I don't think I could ever turn down Chipotle!

I sympathize with you. I was same way. Puked my whole pg whenever I did find something to eat.
Have you had your dr. prescribe Zofran? It helped take the edge off for me and let me choke down some food.
I would avoid the Slim Fast shakes and go with the Boost Extra Protein drinks.
I had horrendous food aversions. The did subside somewhat after a while, but there are still things that turn my stomach even though the girls will be 8 months this month! I forced myself to eat protein and tried everything, even if it didn't sound good at the time. Eventually I found some things I was able to eat and stuck to it!
Definitely talk to your doctor, he/she may have some suggestions.
All of this! I think Ensure tastes much better than Slim Fast and I don't mind it at all. I have really focused on dairy, although it has been rough with the reflux. And, the burrito bowl was a big hit with me until the heartburn got bad. Beans, cheese, and guac...yum.

For breakfast I get the chocolate carnation instant breakfast and put them in the blender with ice, milk and peanut butter or banana. If you like vanilla you can use that flavor too with different berries.
Good luck hopefully it will get better in the next few weeks. I was very picky in my first tri especially with textures.
I too have major food texture issues and have had trouble gaining weight, I am only up 6 lbs at 27w. I did find foods that have high protein that I could tolerate such as beef ravioli has tons of protein, pepperoni sticks are 5g each. Peanut butter (I use chocolate peanut butter) on graham crackers is good too. I freeze them after I make them cause I don't like the squishy texture of the peanut butter.
The Barber frozen stuffed chicken breasts have 20g of protein each. If you look you can find stuff to eat even if it means eating the same thing everyday.

Hated the texture aversion! Happened to me a few times by surprise with foods I love.
I bought some unflavored protein powder to add to smoothies I made myself out of just fruit and either water or fruit juice. Also found some really good cereal (I forget the brand, but it was near Kashi or could be Kashi in the cereal aisle) that has a lot of protein in it, too. Hard boiled eggs were my go to breakfast for a while and now I try to mix in some greek yogurt (in the beginning I couldn't do yogurt at all).
Hope you find something you can eat that doesn't fill you up too much! I could only eat about 1/2 as much as pre-pregnancy during all of pregnancy so far, but I am trying to eat something every two hours.
PAIF and SAIF welcome. IVF questions welcome, too.
