FTM...w/o doula or midwife

My husband and I have decided to attend bradley method classes but for insurance reasons we will not have a doula or midwife with us at the hospital when we deliver.  I was wondering if any of you did all natural(bradley method or not) in the hospital without a doula or midwife with you and any advice you could give me!

    If your husband is into it enough to do Bradley, you'll probably be fine. You may want to think about having a "backup" to give him a break just in case you have a long labour, but that could be your mom or a good friend. And lots of people get by with just DH.

    Yes, I went all natural - no doula, no midwife.  I didn't take Bradley classes or anything - just decided that I would go natural, and I did.  I'd say if YH  is willing to join you on the Bradley training, he should be helpful during delivery.  That's just me though, I've heard wonderful things about doulas.  I just don't feel like I personally need one, after seeing how my first birth went.

    I required induction (due to age and clotting issues) but otherwise went natural. We did not take anything but a basic general class, and we had no midwife or doula. The hospital and my doctors were aware of and supportive of my wish to have as few interventions as possible, and the nurse I had on the final day of labor when they started Pitocin had been a nurse/midwife.

    Thanks everyone! I think I am going to have my sister or someone also know the plan somy husband will be able to take a break if needed!

    I've had 2 natural hospital births without a doula or a midwife. I didn't do the bradley method.  It was just my DH and the nurses/doctor in the room for delivery.  You can totally do it!
