Dry hair and baby girls?

You know how pregnancy is supposed to give you long, healthy, luxurious hair? Umm, not so much. My hair has been dry and lifeless and tangles really easily no matter what I do. I googled "dry hair pregnancy" this morning and found a bunch of posts of women saying them same thing....and apparently there is an OWT that if you have dry hair you're having a girl.

So, that settles it, no need to wait for the anatomy scan, I'm running out to buy pink bedding for the nursery:).

Anyone else's hair not so lovely?

That's funny, my coworkers were listing old wives tales I need to look up. I saw that one today! My hair is definitely fried, but I flat iron it all the time, so I don't know if it's just the humidity or hormones

My hair is awful lately! My sister found out she's team blue today so I know I'll be team pink. We've always been opposites.

I have ridiculously flat, straight hair. It's thicker with the vitamins I've been taking for the last two years, but it looks frayed on the ends. I look shaggy

It also breaks really easily now. It's not falling out, but breaking so I have this weird halo of baby hair all over sticking up!

My hair has been terrible lately..I mean I have curly hair so it already has some natural frizz to it but now my hair feels so brittle and dry.

I don't know if I should blame it on pregnancy or this out of the norm humid heat we've been having. I haven't been straightening my hair lately to see if that helps but so far nothing

I am having a girl though!

My hair has been horrible! Dry, flat, and no longer curly. I hope to find out the gender at my A/S next Thursday. Both DH and I have had a feeling that it is a girl- we'll see. I have pampered myself with some deep conditioning treatments, and that helps with the tangling.

With Ds I had glossy straight hair that lasted for months PP. I chopped it and donated it afterwards. Now my hair is dry, frizzy, and has been falling out by the clumpfuls in the shower! I'm team tbd still, but if I were to guess by my hair, I'm having a girl! But my maternal instincts are saying boy. Different pregnancies each time and all that...

My hair was crap during my first pregnancy, and I had a boy. I think my hair was crap though, because my hormones were changing the texture of my hair and ididnt realize or know how to care for my hair during that time. I went from straight to wavy/curly hair during my pregnancy, and it has stayed that way. My hair is once again being difficult, and I've noticed my new baby hairs are extra curly. Hormones are whack!

The hair that is already grown past your scalp can not be affected by what is happening to our body now. If you are four months along you are only looking at about one to one and a half inches of hair that has been affected by your pregnancy. I blame everyone's hair problems on the crazy weather most places have been having as of late.

LOL! I heard the OWT that having a girl strips you of your beauty. Usually, I've heard this related to skin.

I just look like warmed over poo from head to toe so I better run out and get pink (Hello Kitty) nursery gear right now

My hair is usually awesome and it sucks so bad right now. I have DANDRUFF. My strands are so dry and yet my scalp gets so oily. It is tangling like crazy.

Mine. I used to love my hair but I hate it right now. It was down to the middle of my back but I got it cut up to my shoulders because I was tired of trying to work with it. It's just so dry and brittle and it's falling out! What I did find that helped was switching shampoos. My stylist said that your hair can get used to one kind of shampoo and to get better results to switch it up on occasion.

Today's update from WtE is about hair. It says to eat more vitamin A and drink lots of water and get a volumizing shampoo. It also warned against perms and other treatments since our hormones make them "unpredictable" YIKES!
