I was glad to hear that you don't have to "toughen your nipples" since I have already been told twice that I should. Guess they pinched and prodded themselves for no reason!

Make sure you get a lactation consultant wherever you give birth. Hospitals and birthing centers all have them on staff and that person will be a huge help!

Truth is, nothing can prepare you for breastfeeding. IT SUCKS for the first month lol your nipples will hurt no matter what you do. If you want to breastfeed, do it and stick through it, giving up never solves anything because nobody ever talks about the emotional aspect of quitting something you really wanted to do.

We had issues around 3 months and I induced lactation again and we got to finish out nursing, so I mean.. its totally worth it, but mannnn oh man I hated it in the beginning! hurt so bad.
