first birthday gift

I am doing one big gift for my son and then some small gifts for his first birthday. I want to get him a jr quad from power wheels. it is age appropiate however would you wait and save this for a santa gift ?

    We are getting DD one, so yes I think it is appropriate.  It says age 1-3 on the box.  I think I might buy a helmet too.  Still debating that one. 

    My cousins little boy got one and someone pressed the button to make it go and he was not ready for it and got scared.  He then did not go on it again for another 6 months, but now loves it.

    Santa gift?

    If it's something you think he'd be able to use now, then get it now - they can only play with those for so long, so I say get as much use out of it as possible by giving it to him now.

    He loves sitting on his sit and walk one. I think I am going to stick to my plan and get one for his birthday with a helmet. :D thank you ladies for your thoughts.
