Ppd or stress?

hi im new to the bump ok so the first 4 weeks after my lo was born were fine and i was having a great recovery but then i started getting more and more annoyed with my husband and the past few weeks he's been better talking more responsibility for lo and stuff but i'm still just so mad its driving me crazy cause i don't wanna be mad but i always am and then with my lo hes a great baby only cries when he needs something or he's tired but sometimes its like idk i have to just walk away for a minute so i dont freak out idk if this is ppd or stress because at some time i feel totally fine i can be laughing and having fun and then other times i just wanna scream any insights???

  • I would try to analyze WHAT is making you mad at/about your husband. If you're able to pinpoint things and write them down, you could look at the list and see if you have legitimate complaints. If you do, then you should address them with him.

    If they're 'silly,' then the frustration and annoyance could be a sign of PPD. But, they could be a sign of stress.

    I would try taking some time to yourself when YH is home and can watch the baby - take a long bath, read a trashy magazine, watch The Kardashians (or is that just me? LOL).

    Also, it's completely normal to need to walk away. By doing that, you're showing that you're in control of yourself to need a moment. That's awesome. :-)

    You should also mention it to your doctor. Good luck! :-)
