What do you do for LO's night time routine? We just put on a night time diaper, feed, sing/hum until he is drowsy, and then put him down. I am wondering if the night time routine should be longer now that he is 6.5 months...
Bath, lotion, read a couple books, bottle, diaper cream, sleep sack, crib. If she is not already asleep we may rock for a few minutes. She has no concept of self soothing and thats my fault.
His nighttime routine is pretty minimal. His last bottle is between 7 and 8, before his bottle we change him, lotion and put PJs on him. He gets a bath 3 nights a week ( he has some eczema so we don't do every night yet) after his bottle we read a book or two and rock him till he's sleepy but not asleep, then into the crib and rub his tummy till he's asleep.

Ours is fairly simple. Bath, lotion, diaper, pjs, bottle and into the crib. On occasion I read her a book but I haven't been consistent with that. This routine has been the same and around the same time of night since she was about one month old.
Ours takes about 30 minutes depending on how long DS wants to nurse. DH undresses him on his changing table, then bath which he loves so he'll play in there a while, pj's, and nurse til he's done, then put him in crib. Unfortunately, he doesn't let me do books at bed time, he just wants boob. I am able to read before naps though.
I feed her about 7pm, give her 10-15 minutes of naked time (she loves it!), then bath, lotion, pjs on, daddy reads a book to her, put her down awake in crib. Asleep aboit 8pm maybe a few after.
Here's our routine: Bath, lotion/diaper/pjs, rocking while getting a bottle, burp, bed (we put her down awake). The whole process usually takes about 30-45min, depending on how much she protests during the diaper/lotion step. She's gotten very squirmy these days
We also glory in our sufferings, because we know that suffering produces perseverance; perseverance, character; and character, hope. And HOPE does not dissappoint. Romans 5:3-5
