There isn't a lot of extra space in our nursery. We could make one rocker or glider fit if we had to, but I'm wondering with 2 if it's even worth it. I know most people say it was a lifesaver, but most people don't have multiples
DH and I have already decided that during those first few months we'd both be getting up anyway with the girls and my thought was that I'd change them both while DH made bottles and then we'd both feed them at the same time (please tell me if you think that's a horrible plan too btw lol). If that's a decent plan, my thought was that we'd probably just end up going and sitting in our room propped up in bed until they were done and then put them back in their cribs. So many people talk about being able to rock their babies to sleep at night and after night time feedings though and I don't want to miss out on something that will be helpful for them either or make us miss out on some special bonding.
Long story short: I guess my question is, would a rocker/glider (or 2) be worth it to cram in there (or even to put in our own bedroom) or no? What did/do you ladies do?
Re: did you have a rocker/glider in the nursery?
We have a glider and had an ottoman. I had no clue about feeding babies or any sort of plan, and really didn't want the ottoman but it came with the chair. I was so happy we had it because it became default seating for MH when he helped with nighttime feedings. We never really rocked to sleep, but if there was a fussy baby, it was nice to have a place to sit. We've always been big on keeping nighttime boring and quiet once the lights are out, so it was good to be able to stay in the nursery if we needed to soothe someone overnight.
When I did nighttime feedings solo, I would do it in the darkened living room (one room away from the nursery) on the couch with boppy pillows on either side of me. It was dark enough and they were little enough that they didn't realize they were being sprung from their nursery.

We have a small gliding recliner and I am hardly ever in it! I feed the girls by myself so most of the time I am on the floor in front of it.
I do use it to rock them to sleep in the night if they get fussy, though, and I have to imagine I'll use it when they're a little older and can sit up on their own on my lap.
